More frequent, more malicious ads in the free version of MangaRock

Bayon Arguu Apr 17, 2017 05:04AM ICT

WHY is 'Not A Basement Studio' refusing to police the ads being displayed in the MangaRock Definitive version? Not only are these ads becoming far too frequent, they are also becoming more and more horrifying. Nearly every time a full-page ad is shown, it is accompanied by a new window of either the Google Play store, a web browser, or even android system process. While all of these are obnoxious, the web browser can be dangerous (because who knows what viruses the random website you were sent to might contain), and the android process can be even worse. I've personally experienced an ad that actually set off what sounded like a smoke detector alarm in my phone. This is horrifying and entirely unacceptable.
I refuse to purchase the premium version like you have so often suggested, because I REFUSE to be BULLIED into a purchase out of fear of viruses and other malicious software through ads. You've lost a long-time fan, supporter, and potential customer. Goodbye.

Hi there,

Thank you for raising this concern to us and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

Turn out, there are some advertisers trying to exploit Manga Rock and keep pushing their ads like crazy.

Would you mind sending us a few screenshot of the annoying ads / pop-ups you find.

So we can easily identify these advertisers and remove them in coming release.

Thanks a lot for your help. Again, so sorry for the trouble.
