Missing pages

K Jul 07, 2017 02:39PM ICT

I noticed that there are missing pages in some chapters. Old versions of
Manga Rock would show a broken page, but the new version seems to just skip
them. The chapter will just show fewer pages like 18 pages instead of 19.
The missing pages sometimes will show up when I reload the chapter but sometimes you just see the spinning circle. In any case, I think it would
be better to see that they are missing so we would know to reload. Thanks.

Hi there,

I am so sorry for the late reply and your inconvenience.

FYI, in the past few weeks, our team have fixed many issues with the app. This could including yours.

May I know if you can use the app as usual now?

If not, please let me know. I have marked your case as “High Priority”, so all feedback from you will be solved before anything else.

I’ll wait for your reply. Have a nice day!

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately it looks like the problem with missing/skipped pages is still there today. The version of the app that I use is definitive-2.3.5. It is kind of random where the missing pages occur, but they are usually in the middle of a chapter rather than at the beginning or end. It does seem like reloading the chapter fixes things more consistently now than before but that could be a fluke.

Maybe the app can check how many pages a chapter has (assuming this information is available from the data source) against the number that it actually tries to load in the viewer. I say "tries" because the app does show a page count for the chapter at the bottom of the viewer as it is loading the pages (for example 1/14) regardless of whether those pages actually load or not. If the number of pages don't match, then the app should show the "Please reload" message to prompt the user to reload manually.

Hope that helps!

I am having the same issue, randomly I get pages that act like they try to load then fail and show it's a broken page. I try to refresh the pages but it will not work. I also run the Definitive-2.3.5 update. I would try the catalog reset but i'm afraid of losing all of my info on favorites and where i'm at in the manga.
